First doctors weight check

Ok so I've tried really hard over the last 2 weeks I've been really strict with calories over the last 2 weeks and always taken the healthy options where I can. The only worked away 1 night this fortnight and although I did have steak, chips and veg I did do 30 lenghts of the swimming pool in Coventry to try to help. I also had a poached egg on brown toast, porrage and fruit for breakfast. I've been doing excersise at least twice a week sometimes 4 times a week but this is not easy with an injured knee. I've been to 2 physio sessions and now have to strap my knee with tape every morning to help the pain when I walk.

So weigh in today and I've lost nothing, that's right nothing 2000/1800 calories a day apparently I'm now being told is to much and I have to cut down to 1500 per day. Neadless to say I shed a few tears in the surgery poor nurse I'm so sorry. Talked about how I felt which summed up is (in masses of pain, missrable and just want to sleep) Nurse by this stage looking very worried again sorry. So new idea to try to kick start the weight loss. She has perscribed me Orlistat to take 3 times a day with my meals and it will help shift some of the fat. You have to have a BMI over 30 for this stuff mine is 31 :-( and I'm now very scarred of taking it as it waits for no one (if you have to go you have to go) it also punishes you if you eat a lot of fat which will make me think about everything I eat from now in. I will not be taking it when working away as we agreed this was a bad move at the moment but I plan to start taking the Orlistat from tomorrow.

Physio has also now said I have to do 1 full hour of excersise every day so late last night Tarkka had another hours walk (Au Pair walks him twice a day while I'm working so Tarkka got over 2.5 hours in walks yesterday) Unlike Tarkka I really struggled this morning, knee is killing my, popping pain killers (wonder if they have calories) however I need to do as the physio and surgery suggest as the more weight I can shift the less pain my knee will be in. Going to look for an excersise bike at the weekend as I could then cycle and watch things like holby, wonder if I could balance my laptop on handlebars of execise bike as I could then chat on facebook while loosing weight, now there's a good idea.

Right just had lunch of cracker bread, cottage cheese, toms, baby corn, carrot battons and 30g of good to yourself pate with a bowl of herb salard.

Just need to do my hour of excersie and eat next to nothing for tea and I'm done for another day. :-)
