Why I'm doing this

Ok so why am I running a weight loss blog?

Last week I was advised by a consultant at my local hospital that I have a worn knee cap that they are unable to repair. The pain is intermittent so because of this they are also unable to give me anything to manage the pain. However the best thing I can do is lose weight as this will help my knee. For every stone in weight you are your knee takes 12 x this in pressure.

So feeling very low (emotion not wight or low fat lol) I arranged to see the nurse to discuss weight, pain managment.

To help me plot my journey through what I know will be highs and lows I've decided to blog about it. More as a release for me as I find I cope better if I don't bottle all the sadness up. I love food and going out to eat, this is really going to kill me but the other option is struggle with masses of pain in my knee and hip which is a no go zone so I have to give this a try.
